$1.6B Gourmet Food company looking to fill an HR Manager position near the Bronx. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly-expanding, dynamic organization that offers room for growth and development. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of HR experience, a bachelor's degree, and expert knowledge and understanding of applicable Federal and New York employment laws. Our client is looking for someone with experience:

  • Oversee leave programs
  • Be familiar and manage and counsel leadership on various federal and state laws to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct full cycle recruitment for all exempt and non-exempt positions including, but not limited to providing offer letters, conduct background and drug screenings, screening resumes and candidates via phone and new hire orientation.
  • Develop and implement leadership training for management on self-awareness, conflict resolution, interviewing and hiring practices, PIP s, retention, coaching and mentoring.
  • Advise management on strategies that better suit their operational needs while also adhering to federal and local law.
  • Act as Labor Relations liaison between local union (IBEW), attend meetings between union delegates and management to negotiate grievances, ensure accurate interpretation of CBA and provide last chance agreements

Human Resources Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum five years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager or Generalist

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel. ADP Vantage experience a plus

Expert knowledge and understanding of applicable Federal and New York employment laws

Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with managers at all levels

Must possess a high level of professionalism and discretion to deal with a variety of inquiries from managers and employees

Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize workload

Highly motivated, self-directed individual
